Get to know the two winners of the Miami Open 2021, Jiro Platt and Shiloh Catori

In November 2021, we went to the Miami Open, a skate contest at Lot 11 Skatepark in Miami. Two winners of the JACKALOPE UP NEXT 2021 tourJohnny Purcell and Jayden Bono, were invited to participate in the contest. So we packed our bags and flew to Miami with them. Against all odds, two of the youngest participants won the 1st place in both men and women categories and no one could contest the jury’s choice. Jiro Platt and Shiloh Catori destroyed everything in the contest. This is how we met them, and as they are heading to Montreal this summer, here are a few things you should know about them.

Jiro Platt

Jiro is 15 years old and has already completed a standalone part for Thrasher, “Time traveling“, is sponsored by major brands like Red Bull, Nike and Habitat and is ranked 224 global. The Manhattan local is definitely making waves in the skateboard industry. Sponsors: Red BullNike SBHabitatVolcomSpitfire WheelsBones BearingsThunder TrucksStinky SocksJessup
