“I made three videos in three days there somehow. Skated way too much.”

A crazy country full of spots

Mike Boisvert was in Armenia in 2025 and somehow made three videos in three days. “Skated way too much.” His first take on the country: crazy, full of spots, with a small scene. What surprised him was how it looked. “It's like the Middle East, but Christian.”

Where to skate

Mike's number one place to skate is a street spot downtown in Yerevan, near the waterfall. Yerevan Skatepark is, in his words, a weird park. Ararat Skatepark is a mini skatepark, fun for learning and getting lessons. And in Yeghvard, outside the capital, there is a hidden mini ramp that Mike calls perfect.

Skaters to know

Landon (@yourboiburke) does everything and is, for Mike, the best: “Landon, hands down.” Arpine Yeprikyan (@arpineyeprikyan) is a street skater to follow, and Andrey Yaroshenkin (@yaroshenkinandrey), who skates everything, owns an indoor skatepark.

The shops and parks to know: @ararat.skatepark, Skate Am skateshop, @komitasskateshop and @sirov374.

If you go

Climb the Cascade in Yerevan: it's a cool thing to see, and you can skate on top. Visit the Khor Virap monastery for the culture and the nature. And eat lavash, a big part of the food culture.

The barrier is the same as in many small scenes: not many skaters and not many skateparks. What would help is a JACKALOPE Block Party. And the most underrated thing about Armenia, for Mike: the nature, the people and the spots.
